Assigning and Delegating tasks is the key to success in any workplace. When you trust, not only are your workload and responsibilities reduced, but your stress level also rises significantly. And you are giving yourself more time for leisure activities like watching that new show or reading up on what's happening with current affairs! Managers can focus on higher-value activities while keeping employees engaged by giving team members more autonomy. A study shows that CEOs who excel in delegating generate 33% higher revenue than those that don't, and it turns out they're successful too!
Creative thinking is essential for problem-solving and coming up with new ideas. Managers can't be behind every single task or concept that their team comes up with, so they should instead draw upon the creativity of those under them. It can be done by giving them ample opportunity to contribute creatively towards completing a given project.
Use your employees' strengths and goals: There are opportunities for every employee to improve their skills and grow through delegation. For example, a manager who wants more experience managing other people might start by supervising an intern or owning a project that is well defined with specific goals attached. The type of work delegation can factor into how much professional development will occur as part of this effort.
If you want to ensure that your team can complete the project at hand, they need to have all their resources. If not, then put yourself out there and offer what they need!
Assign and delegate the tasks while establishing an efficient communication line to make sure it gets done right. Both should feel comfortable communicating, and they must demonstrate an open channel. However, the person to whom tasks are delegated shall ask questions or provide progress reports so there can be no surprises if something goes wrong in implementation.
After your employees complete a task you've delegated, give them feedback so they can continue improving their work.
